iThemba is a pre-primary school in Fish Hoek that gives children in need a hope for the future. It provides exceptional education and care for the children who are from under resourced areas in the Southern Peninsula of Cape Town.
We have been involved with iThemba since 2011. Some of the initiatives we support include helping to build a sand pit and sponsoring a child for a year. You too can sponsor a child by contacting Janet Webb (principal) on firstname.lastname@example.org or Elizabeth Laubscher (administrator) on email@example.com or call them on 021 785 1194.
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) is run by a highly skilled team of unpaid volunteers who are on standby day and night throughout the year. We support the NSRI’s education arm, Water Wise Academy, that teaches children what to do in an emergency and gives them the confidence to initiate basic bystander CPR while they wait for the ambulance to arrive. The Water Wise Academy targets disadvantaged youths between the ages of nine and 14, because statistically they are the most at risk (South African Medical Research Council, 2006). If you would like to get involved, please contact the NSRI at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Tippy Toes Foundation brings about tangible and positive changes in the communities of Melkbos and Atlantis by minimising the effects and influence of gangsterism, drug use, physical abuse, unemployment and teenage pregnancy in these communities. By engaging with the community, they strive to uplift them through sport, education and simple acts of kindness. We donate money to this worthy cause. If you would like to get involved, please contact Tamarin at email@example.com
